Ford Mustang around the World

Think Ford Mustang, and maybe you get a mental image of the iconic sports car cruising on America’s beautiful Pacific Coast Highway – or burbling through the busy streets of New York.

It’s a car that’s traditionally as American as country music and Stetson hats, but you could now be just as likely to spot a Mustang in Europe – anywhere from Finland in the north to Greece in the south.

The Mustang – which has more likes than any other car on Facebook – was the best-selling sports car in both those countries last year, as well as six other countries in Europe.

Roelant de Waard, vice president, Marketing, Sales & Service, Ford Europe.
From the Arctic Circle to the Mediterranean, the Ford Mustang has topped the sports car sales charts in markets across Europe.

In fact, the Mustang was the best-selling sports car in the world in 2016. People bought more than 15,000 of them in Europe, and more than 150,000 worldwide.

Thanks to all the Ford Mustang fans for helping Mustang become the planet’s favourite sports car!
